PEACOCK MEDICINE – Want to be IMMORTAL?  Leave a LEGACY of LIGHT!

LOVE that Peacock symbolizes immortality – it’s such a potent and poignant awareness when you realize that the words you speak or write as you are delivering your message can actually live on – long after you have chosen to “drop the robe” of physicality! In my own journey as a messenger I have mapped out the Mountain of Visibility (Also known as the Pyramid of Prosperity) which I share in the Prosper In Your PJ’s Virtual Speaking Business Builders Bootcamp (both Live and Homestudy Versions).  What I discovered is that the messengers who are at the tippity top are carefully and intentionally creating products, programs and services around their message that are meant to impact the world for a long time to come.

One thing I’ve also noticed about these messengers is that there is a “CORE” Message that they are here to deliver – and that everything they create really aligns with and either compliments or builds upon that core message.  

I’ve also noticed that SIMPLER is BETTER! 

It’s better for you as the messenger, it’s better for your team and the other people who become raving fans and followers, it’s better for your audiences and for the media.  I recently had the pure pleasure of meeting and receiving this exact message from Bert Jacobs the CEO of Life Is Good.  See how simple his message is?  Life – Is – Good.   Doesn’t get much simpler than that! 

If you can SIMPLIFY your message it can live on for THOUSANDS of Years!  Master Jesus was a Legacy of Light Messenger – he shared his message of LOVE through stories and parables but also by LIVING his legacy.  That’s another thing to consider as you contemplate how you are here to impact the planet – are you just dreaming it? Or are you actually EMBODYING your role as an Empowered Messenger?  Be immortal – embody your message NOW and it will live on…. Maybe forever!   Are you here to leave a Legacy of Light?

PEACOCK MEDICINE – Find Your VOICE and Make some NOICE! (yes I’m rhyming!! A little misspelling never hurt anyone!)

The majestic peacock knows well how to vocalize and if you are going to be an Empowered Messenger you need to be able to do that too! I’ve found something out about people who are activated to be messengers – it’s strange but true. They can speak on behalf of anybody else’s work – but have trouble speaking up about their OWN!

Keiko’s success is not unique – I’ve worked with a LOT of clients in exclusive VIP ½ day Retreats or as longer term private group or one on one clients to help them overcome the fear of speaking or the challenge of finding their voice, getting crystal clear on their message and preparing to share their own unique message with the world. Peacock says it’s time for all you folks who know in your heart that you are a Messenger (with a capital M) to get help if you are stuck in this way because you aren’t serving your own soul purpose and people are praying for you right now – for the solution that you have to offer – but they can’t know you can offer it without you telling them so!

Peacock Medicine –   STAND YOUR GROUND and OWN YOUR GREATNESS!

The beautiful peacock is not at all afraid to strut his stuff – and that has to be YOU when you are stepping into the role of the Empowered Messenger in your business.  Too often I have seen people who are called to be a messenger – who have something really powerful and life affirming to share with the world – HIDING!   Makes me SO SAD!!!

Please don’t hide your brilliance – you were MADE to be GREAT – just like the Peacock!   God does NOT MAKE JUNK!!!  The sad truth is that we make ourselves Junky – by believing that we aren’t good enough, smart enough, practiced enough, prepared enough or financed enough to get our message out to the world so we hold that message IN and cover it over with all this “not enough” junk. Yech!  

Peacock wants to invite you to try a little of his medicine – to start out you can do this behind closed doors – here are the steps to the “Peacock Dance” that he’d like you to practice:

1) Stand TALL – lift up your heart – puff out your chest and hold your head up high – feel what if feels like to not be slumping – to have a posture that says I’m HERE!

2) Feel your feet on the GROUND – really make a conscious connection with the earth – feel your energy body being activated as you stand tall and open up your heart – and if you start to feel anxious, nervous or have little tremors running through your body intend to twist your thigh bones INWARD like you are screwing yourself into the ground and then feel the energy flow right through you and dissipate into the earth so that you feel grounded and present in your body

3) Start to STRUT – now we’re having some fun!! Imagine yourself on a stage or in the front of a room of people and see yourself strutting from left to right in your mind’s eye while you actually physically strut back and forth in your space.  As you strut in one direction or the other keep that heart open and high – and imagine that you are sending out a love wave to each of the audience members

4) Now STOP, STAND CENTER STAGE and GIVE US YOUR BEST – Spread those Tail Feathers and Show Us your most BEAUTIFUL expression of who you are!   

5) Take a Bow – Receive the Applause – You DID IT!! You gave a presentation! (Did you do it in your Pajamas???!)

If you are speaking VIRTUALLY – it’s great to practice the peacock dance and postures before speaking and if you like you can strut and speak right in the comfort of your own living room or home office.  I’ve found that Virtual Speaking is one of the most powerful and energy efficient ways to Be Heard By Millions – and for those of you who are shy birds or feel like you aren’t yet ready to be SEEN you can still serve and be very successful!  You might even Prosper In Your Pj’s just like me!

Peacock Medicine – Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

Beauty is a core value to me in my life and in my business – I organize my whole life around being able to create and enjoy beauty.  As a messenger part of your goal is to INSPIRE the people you are meant to serve and there is nothing like beauty to touch and open the heart.

I have found that nature is our best source of inspiration.  I am so excited when the flowers start to bloom – there is something quite magical and amazing about this process and I love to capture and share the beauty by taking photos (especially of roses) and incorporating those into my messaging.  In fact I utilized 7 of my favorite photos in the Money Magic and Miracles Clarity Course as visual activators for the money gates in week three of the 21 day series.  Just looking at the beauty in these photos will awaken appreciation and gratitude and will invite a deepening of your relationship with the material world.

Peacock Medicine – Are you REALLY Successful or Just Putting on a Show?

Appearances can be deceiving – especially on the internet – I remember when I first landed here in the “Virtual World” I thought it would be so easy beasy to just slap together a website, start speaking and getting my message out and have a boatload of clients just sailing in the door because my message was so amazing and wonderful……not…..!!

This is the dream – the reality is that it takes a lot more work than I realized – and in the ever changing online world just when you think you’ve got “it” some new whiz bangy way to do things comes along and you might find yourself chasing your tail instead of gracefully spreading your tailfeathers and receiving the admiration and investment of your raving fans!

I have been online now for 5 years and I have seen people come and people go and I have also seen a lot of people grow and evolve their brand, their image and their message.  One thing I know for sure is that the APPEARANCE of success is not the same as ACTUAL success. 

Recently I received an email from a well known online marketing person who is a colleague and who actually has been online for a lot longer than I – she’s created a 7 figure online business – and in this email is inviting people to work with her while at the same time sending out the message that her own back office is broken and that even though she’s generating $60,000 a month it’s not enough money to keep her business running properly.  Huh?

This begs the following questions:

• Why on earth would I want to obtain business advice from someone with a broke back office?
• What the heck is that $60,000 a month being spent on? (is there residual debt being paid off, is there a lifestyle that’s being funded that is eating into the business?)
• Does she have the right team?
• Does she have the right strategy? (is the visionary cloudy in her vision?)
• Are her mixed messages messing up her business?  (I’m broke but I can help you build your business – really??)
• What about that 7 figures?? 7 figures in REVENUE is not at all the same as 7 figures in PROFIT!
• Is she REALLY successful or is she putting on a show???

The point of this post is to invite you to LOOK DEEPER – when you have the vision to be a big messenger – that burning desire to get your message out to the world will definitely pull you forward and it will also start to generate a lot of other desires – and there are plenty of people out there who will eagerly raise their hands and make you offers to fulfill those desires and will eagerly receive your investment to do so!  

At the end of the day you need to be super clear on your OWN vision not only for your business but also for your LIFE.  Allow for the TIME DELAY – you must be able to appreciate the time delay between the inspiration and the manifestation.  In between those two points you will have a lot of perspiration happening!  Also make sure you have plenty of capital at your disposal (or great credit or both) to allow you to grow your vision and to sustain you in those moments when you have something REALLY GREAT to offer but you aren’t quite making the connection with prospects and converting them to clients so that you have the cash flow to support the businesses regular and consistent operating expenses.

See the success that YOU want to create – both in terms of impact that your message will have on the world as well as in terms of the lifestyle that you’d like to enjoy as a result of being a messenger!

Why the Peacock?

That question comes up for me a lot – people will ask me often if there is a symbolic meaning to the peacock in my branding and of COURSE the answer to that question is a resounding YES!

Here's why the peacock:

1 – This brand and I am meant to serve VISIONARIES – the peacock with thousands of "eyes" on it's tail is a symbol of the visionary

2 – The peacock is BEAUTIFUL – beauty is a high value to me – and I want my brand to reflect that value.

3 – The peacock is GROUNDED – most often when we think of a peacock we visualize it standing on the ground with it's tail feathers spread

5 – The peacock is connected with IMMORTALITY – when you are a messenger your message can live on LONG after you have stopped delivering it

6 – The peacock is an emblem of LOVE and GOOD LUCK – who doesn't want more love and good luck in their life – I certainly appreciate having both in my business

7 – The peacock symbolizes the "VAULT OF HEAVEN" and is a symbol of renewal, rebirth, vitality, vibrancy and self esteem

Did you know (I didn't until someone sent me a photo) that peacocks can also FLY?   One of my books in progress is titled "The Soaring Speaker" and you can bet that I'll have a peacock somewhere on the cover!

Clarity on Core Values

Recently I completed a year long program with Suzanne Evans in her 10K club and there was a segment of that work that I wanted to share with you because I feel it will enhance your growth and help you to have a business that is based upon something more than just generating revenue! Having a business that is solely focused only on how much you can make is a hollow place to be!

In order to have a business where you can thrive, spiritually as well as financially, you are going to want to make sure that you have clear values in place so that you can measure your actions and your progress against those values and determine what actions need to happen if things go out of alignment.

Of course for many messengers your business is a solo enterprise – or one with a few helpers who are all running their own solo enterprises too! So your business values may be highly reflective of your personal values. When you have clarity on your values, you can always tell:

• when you are in dialog with people who may become staff, clients, joint venture partners or strategic alliances
• whether your values and the people you are surrounded with align
• and if they don’t, you know it

Listen to these signs as it’s better to let go and not “get into bed” with these folks, rather than chasing after what "could be" and having to go through a messy “divorce” later!

Here are the top 10 Core Values that I want my business to reflect out into the world:

Respect – for myself, my team, my clients, my colleagues

Harmony – in all of our relationships

Joy – in each moment spent in or working on the business

Creativity – so that fresh new ideas, programs, projects, services, or systems can come alive

Appreciation – for everyone who is invested in growing this business and in the mission that it serves

Beauty – just because it nourishes the souls of all concerned

Prosperity – so that the business is self-sufficient and everyone who is impacted by it is prospered too

Collaboration – because together we are so much more than the sum of our parts

Teamwork – because playing together is much more fun than playing alone

Truth/Honesty – full integrity so that the gifts that come from this business benefit all concerned

7 Steps To Getting What You Want

Recently, I was asked by my friend Laura Hollick to participate in her latest launch of a program called Follow Your Heart and Make Money.  When she requested that I play with her out in the forest while I was up in Canada for an event I said yes right away. Laura is an embodiment of the Empowered Messenger archetype and is a powerful and awe inspiring artist and woman of medicine.   I knew that we’d be doing some “Big Work” in the woods and the night before we were to meet I went to bed with the question for my Self to answer “How do you Follow Your Heart and Make Money?”  I often ask questions before going to sleep so that I can RECEIVE in the night the solutions to problems, the answers that I’m seeking or insights that will illuminate my perspective in ways I wasn’t expecting.

The next morning I woke early with the following awareness about how I have followed my heart to make money.  Not surprising there were 7 steps that were revealed to be my personal process that I thought would be beneficial to share with you all so you can see if they are useful to you:

1)      Give Yourself Permission to Ask the Question – “What Do I Want?”

2)      Allow Yourself Some Time with the Question so that you can DISCOVER What You Want

3)      Once You have Discovered What You Want – ASK for What you Want

4)      Then You must Make Space & ALLOW yourself to actually HAVE what you want

5)      Next You Must Accept, Receive and Integrate what you Want

6)      Be GRATEFUL to HAVE what you want

7)      Let Yourself Want Anew without Restraint

So how does this play out in practical terms?

First of course Ask Yourself “ What Do I Want?”

Let’s say you discover that you want a totally mobile business (like I did 5 years ago)

Now ASK for that – “I want a totally mobile business so that in 5 years when my son has reached adulthood I am totally free to be anywhere I want and still have a beautiful bountiful business!”

Making space and allowing meant that I had to dedicate time to putting all the pieces into place – I had to open up to learning new things, I had to make some mistakes and I had to invest quite a lot to discover what I didn’t know that I didn’t know.    My best investments were in mentors who were already doing at least a part of what I wanted to do – sharing their message and making money.

Finally I had enough of the pieces in place that I was able to start generating revenue.   The funny piece of this part of the journey was that I spent so much time building the dream – it took me a while to accept that it was “already here” and all I had to do was step in and RECEIVE the benefits of what I had built for myself.   It was kind of like building a beautiful house and standing outside in the cold yearning to move in.  In fact, I’m still integrating the piece of this dream where I am “free to be anywhere I want to be”.  I finally “got” that I can own that now and I’m preparing to leave NH and soar for a while – to be grateful to be in a place with plenty of sunshine and palm trees!

What do You REALLY WANT that you’ll need a “Pot O’ Gold” to Finance?

Lucky me – I have some amazing friends and allies who have been absolute gems during parts of my life walk where the way was not clear and I was in a fog or funk.   One friend came back into my life a little more than a decade ago and we hadn’t seen one another in 20 years.  Her re-appearance in my life catalyzed some major shifts and she really “jumpstarted’ my awakening and spiritual growth.

One of the most important things that she did for me was to ask me a “Magical Question”  - That question was “What do YOU want?”   The reason why this question was so magical for me is because the way I was brought up having my own wants was just never part of the picture.  I think this upbringing was part of a larger cultural conditioning that has been steadily (thankfully) unraveling that caused most of us to believe that what we were told or what was modeled for us was the only way, and part of the modeling and messaging was that women shouldn’t have wants – or rather the only wants they should have was to be of service and to subjugate themselves and their dreams and desires on the altar of being married, being a “good” wife, keeping a clean house and raising well behaved children.

At the time that my friend came back into my life I was in an inner struggle around whether or not to remain in a marriage that I entered into compromising on my values but that I felt obligated to “work” on so that I wouldn’t break my vows – which said ‘til death do us part’.   Between my friend – who in asking her question triggered a new thought in me- and reading the work of Marianne Williamson (an Epic Messenger!) in her first book “A Return to Love”- I was activated into an awareness that it was really OK to want – not only was it OK to want but it was in fact vital to my very survival as a living breathing contribution to the planet!

Having wants is often tied to money – not having the money to have what you want can cause a lot of pain and can make us feel resigned and depressed and even angry.  Then all of that negativity is either directed towards ourselves for having wants in the first place, or out at the world that we perceive is not providing us with our wants.   That negativity also infects and cause great dis-ease in our relationship with money, furthering the problem and creating a force field that can even repel money from us.    It’s a deadly downward spiral and one that I WANT to do all I can to ERADICATE for messengers.

Here are some facts –

1. If you have a message – it needs to get out there.
2. Getting your message out takes an investment – of time – and of money.
3. The more you get your message out the more you impact people
4. The more you impact people the more people want to consume what you have to offer.
5. The more people who consume what you have to offer the more money you can receive.
6. The more money you have the easier it becomes to get your message out to more people.
7. And then it becomes an UPWARD Spiral dynamic  where the more you share your message, impact people and receive money the more messaging you can do to impact more people and receive more money!

Your message becomes GENERATIVE.  Your business becomes GENERATIVE – it can support itself, you and all the people that you attract to become team members who are invested with their time and energy in the big vision of getting the message out, impacting more people, making more money.  The money you receive becomes GENERATIVE and can be used any way you want – and ultimately could fund the building of a legacy of light that inspires and generates long after you have chosen to complete your time in the business or on the planet.

Honoring our Ancestors & Healing Their Pain

I watched a movie with my son a while back (when he and I were together movie watching was a favorite bonding activity – you can snuggle watching a movie even when you are a getting to be big!) The movie was Far and Away with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise – a great story of grit, guts, determination and an unshakeable faith in your dreams. Delicious! I could see where my own fire originates in my personal family lineage. I had grandparents on both sides that came over from Ireland and England to the New World. It was quite the journey and put a LOT of perspective on my own.

Thank you Ancestors for your courage and your willingness to take inspired action and BIG risks, for your willingness to do what it took to keep your dreams of freedom and a new start alive, and for adding your visions to the great American Dream of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for all who land on our shores. I appreciate you more than I perhaps ever have and I appreciate even more all that I have been able to accomplish building my life and my dreams using the gifts that were passed on to me through my ancestral lineage and leaving behind the story and the suffering. Time for some new flowers on my ancestral altar – a sacred space created in my home for honoring the gifts of my ancestors and those who have passed on before me and for receiving the wisdom that they have to offer without having to repeat their “stories”. Thank you for the opportunity to come into right relationship with you my ancestors!

Do you have ancestral gifts that you have not harvested because of old stories of pain or suffering? Have you honored and recognized your ancestors for their investment in Life itself? Did you know that you can carry ancestral patterns that impact YOUR life and these can be both directly inherited or tied to an overall culture or both and that these patterns can be surfaced and cleared from your light body or soul matrix so that you are FREE to create in balance and beauty your own dreams and desires?

We recently had a death in the family – the Patriarch who was my son’s grandfather and with it came some major disruption and re-alignment for everyone who was connected to him. Hundreds came to the wake – the line for viewing the body and consoling the family was an hour long. Someone who was one of 10 children and who fathered 15 children of his own naturally had a lot of connections and ties into the community.

The end of life in the body is not the end of the life of the soul. Much healing and much wisdom can be accessed by creating the sacred space for the soul work to be done – the ancestor altar holds vast potential for you as the one left behind to come to terms with the passing, to assuage grief and to honor and free your loved ones to be healed, move on and be of service from the realm of the ancestors. Many of my clients have unresolved ancestral patterns that cause them to be held back from really living their own dreams – often sons and daughters will just repeat the patterns that they learned from their parents – and even when your own soul is craving to make a different path, to create a different reality the “hold” of the ancestral patterning can be pretty intense.

The challenges I see most often are:

Inability to get CLEAR on one’s Message (otherwise known as wandering in the fog of confusion)
Inability to Speak One’s Truth Fearlessly
Inability to Receive One’s Value in the Marketplace
Inability to Claim Expert Status
Inablity to be Seen in a big way
Inability to work with a team well
Inability to grow a business successfully

While it may seem to you that your challenge is unique there is often a common thread among messengers that sets you up for an inner battle where the core of you wants to be out there serving, speaking, selling and succeeding and the ancestral whispers say ‘No- who do you think you are? You can’t do that! Our people don’t do that sort of thing! ‘ Sometimes you can’t hear the whispers and you need some expert help to unleash yourself from these ties that bind.
