Money is the Fuel that Runs Your “SHIP” – How’s the Fuel Guage Looking Today? #2

Have you ever felt ashamed, embarrassed, afraid or even maybe like you wanted to vomit when you think about having to ask for money?

When you become awakened as a Messenger – often money is the last thing on your mind (unless of course your message is specifically about money!).  In fact it is the driving passion of your heart’s desire to get your message out – sometimes at all costs- that can actually create the circumstances where you will do whatever it takes to reach your people – including using your savings, home equity, borrowing from friends and relatives, playing “credit card roulette” and the like.

One thing you must realize is that in order to be a highly effective messenger you must also build a business structure that will be sustainable.  Your EntrepreneurSHIP is the vessel that carries your message to the world – and if you EntrepreneurSHIP is being built entirely on YOUR financial input then either you are a wealthy philanthropist or you are in for a rude awakening when the business needs money to pay for support systems and team members and shopping carts and hosting platforms and websites and lord knows what else might need to be in place in order for it to really run properly and effectively get the message out to the people you are most here to serve.

One thing that I discovered in my own business as a messenger is that there was a heck of a lot that I did not know that I did not know.  (Hope that sentence makes sense!)  – And when you don’t know what you don’t know you can spend a BOAT LOAD of money and make a lot of mistakes that can lead you to a place where all of a sudden your personal fuel tank (your own energy and passion for the work) as well as your financial fuel tank are pegged on EMPTY.

When all your tanks are on empty – there is only one true answer to creating the solution to the problem.  That is you have to go to the SOURCE of money and ASK for it.  In the case of a message or movement based business the source of the money (in 3D land) are the people who are or could be benefiting from receiving your message.  I have seen WAY TOO MANY people – especially those in the “healing ” or “helping” professions giving away the store so to speak and as a result they are not only devaluing themselves and the effort, time and energy that they have put into getting the word out – but they are also devaluing the message and the gifts that they and others in those professions have to offer.

Money can be such a wonderful teacher because how much we are letting it in often reflects how much we value what we have to offer and how open we are to really being in our power. Your message is such an important one. I know for myself that once I learned some of the “money lessons” life became a whole lot easier and enabled me to make a much bigger difference for my book writing clients, blog readers and all the people in my community.
