Lost in the Clouds of Confusion?

I found for myself that I often got lost in the early days of saying YES to becoming a messenger.

Lost in the clouds of confusion - I'd wander around some days wondering WTF am I doing here?

The CALL to be a Messenger was epically clear but WTH does that look like from a practical perspective?

Sure I had 20 years of experience in the world of real estate. My last project being an award winning one consisting of 51 Single Family Houses, 56 Apartments and an office building developed with 2 partners.

Sure I had spoken before - as the National Chairperson of the trade association that represented 1 in 8 homeowners I was the one who traveled to all the regional events and brought the message of the organization and it's vision all over the country.

Sure I had experience with nutsy boltsy businessey stuff like financial record keeping and customer service - heck I was making change for the ladies in my mom's yarn shop when I was 7,8,9 years old.

Sure I had experience with sales - I sold 763 Boxes of GirlScout Cookies when I was 9 - the other closest girlscout sold 28 boxes. In the days before you could stand outside at the grocery store or had the internet to help you out.

What got me lost in the clouds of confusion was I actually had no clue how to make a business out of being a messenger and certainly how to make a global impact from home as a single mom with an adolescent who I was committed to parenting in person until adulthood.

How did I escape the clouds of confusion?

First thing that changed the game for me was investing for help with the people who seemed to have their shit together in the area of making money by getting in front of people using speaking as the primary mode for connecting with and creating client relationships.

I discovered a bunch from my very first investment not the least of which was that there are a variety of different live speaking models

The list goes on! ALL of these models required 265 out of 365 days a year on the road in order to make some bank.

That was NOT happening for me - so my first investment - which was around $5K when all was said and done - to get help and clarity - gave me the clarity that their "on the road" model was not a fit for me and I needed to find help in another direction.

I actually threw the 4 inch thick binder with all the materials in it for setting up a college speaking circuit based model into the trash that I paid $2500 to receive at that first event I attended in search of a way out of the clouds of confusion. The event - titled Speak & Succeed - seemed like the perfect spot for me to find out what I needed to know. Which of course it was! I needed to know that way of doing it was a NO for me!

Enter "Free Telemessages" - a now defunct operation that landed on my radar in 2008 and opened up a whole new world - and the WHOLE WORLD of possibility for me!

That's where I got started with virtual speaking and employing virtual speaking as my main marketing method since 2008 has been both life changing in terms of impact (I'm Answering My CALL to be a GLOBAL Messenger - to Be Heard By Millions!)

And in terms of income (I've made millions too - most of it reinvested to learn and grow and create even more impact because at the heart of it that's what a Messenger with a capital M is here to do - create that impact - the income is essential to your well being and provides the fuel for the entrepreneurship that carries your message out - but the real juice is in the impact for heart centered, visionary change agents... you with me on this?)

Anyhow what I'm here to tell you today is that I'm serving clients NOW to get out of the clouds of confusion and into clarity so they too can make more of an impact while also creating a wonderful income to keep the whole show going.
